Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., and New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers are among the top five rookies in contention for the honor. Rounding out the list are Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers and Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix.

LSU celebrated the incredible achievement of its three former players, underscoring the program’s role in their development.

Jayden Daniels is widely considered the frontrunner for the award after a stellar rookie season. Leading the Commanders to the playoffs, Daniels threw for 3,568 yards, rushed for 891 yards, and accounted for 31 total touchdowns (25 passing, 6 rushing). While this award focuses on the regular season, Daniels’ postseason performance has kept the spotlight on him, as he prepares to face the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game.

Brian Thomas Jr. shined in a difficult year for the Jaguars, emerging as a key offensive weapon. He hauled in 87 receptions for 1,284 yards and 10 touchdowns, providing a rare bright spot for Jacksonville’s offense.

Malik Nabers also had a standout season for the New York Giants. Despite the team’s struggles, Nabers recorded 109 catches for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns in just 15 games, cementing his status as one of the league’s most reliable young receivers.

The winner of the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award will be announced on February 6, and all eyes are on whether LSU’s trio can bring home the honor.
