The Buckeyes Just Secured the Most Stacked WR Room in History—Here’s Why It’s Scary

Ohio State has long been known for producing elite wide receivers, but their 2025 group has the potential to be even better than their historic 2021 unit. With a lineup stacked with five-star talent, the Buckeyes are proving why they deserve the title of “Wide Receiver University” (WRU).

The 2025 WR corps features Jeremiah Smith, Carnell Tate, Brandon Inniss, Mylan Graham, and Quincy Porter, all of whom are five-star recruits with elite skill sets. This group is deeper and more physically dominant than almost any receiver room in recent memory. Their combination of size, speed, and polished route running makes them a nightmare for defenses.

Comparing this to Ohio State’s 2021 group, which featured future NFL stars Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Garrett Wilson, Emeka Egbuka, Chris Olave, and Marvin Harrison Jr., it’s clear that both units are loaded with generational talent. The difference? The 2025 class is made up almost entirely of five-star prospects, while Olave and Harrison were “only” four-star recruits—yet both became first-round caliber players.

Adding to the excitement, Chris Henry Jr., another elite five-star receiver, is set to join Ohio State in 2026. With this pipeline of talent, there’s no debate—Ohio State is officially WRU.
