The Las Vegas Raiders’ already tumultuous season took another turn when mechanical issues delayed their flight to New Orleans on Saturday. Originally scheduled to leave in the morning, the flight was pushed back to 7:00 p.m. local time, and the team ended up using a different plane to make the trip.
According to FlightAware, a United Airlines plane departed from Las Vegas at 7:05 p.m. PT, eventually landing in New Orleans at 11:39 p.m. CT. This left the Raiders with just over 12 hours before facing the Saints, putting them in a tight spot as they prepare to take the field.
While the delay might not be the primary factor in their performance, it adds to the mounting frustrations of a Raiders team already struggling this season. With a Saints squad potentially energized by the home crowd, the timing of this mishap could be just another sign of a season heading toward a bitter end for Las Vegas.
