Five Players. One Mission. The Knicks Are Built Different in 2026.

Madison Square Garden is alive again — and this starting five is the reason why.

The New York Knicks rolled out their lineup card tonight, and it tells you everything you need to know about where this franchise is heading. Josh Hart. Jose Alvarado. OG Anunoby. Mikal Bridges. Karl-Anthony Towns. Five names. Zero passengers.

This is a lineup built on toughness, versatility, and elite two-way play. Hart is the engine — relentless on the boards, gritty on defense, and the kind of player every championship team needs. Alvarado brings disruptive energy at point guard that opponents simply cannot prepare for. OG Anunoby is quietly one of the best wing defenders in the entire league. Mikal Bridges does everything — scores, defends, facilitates — without ever needing the spotlight. And Karl-Anthony Towns anchors the whole operation, stretching the floor and punishing any team that dares go small.

The numbers back it all up. The Knicks currently sit at 44-25 on the season — second in the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division, trailing only the Boston Celtics. They’ve been one of the league’s most consistent teams all year, and with the playoffs approaching, this starting five is hitting its stride at exactly the right moment.

Tonight’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers tips off with the Knicks holding an 86.6% win probability. The Garden faithful will be loud. The opposition will be ready.

But so will New York’s starting five.

The Knicks aren’t just contenders. They’re a problem.
