Coventry City have officially completed the permanent signing of goalkeeper Carl Rushworth from Brighton & Hove Albion, strengthening their squad ahead of their return to Premier League football. The club confirmed the transfer on August 4, 2026, bringing the goalkeeper back to the CBS Arena on a permanent basis.
Rushworth is already familiar with Coventry supporters after spending last season on loan at the club. He played all 46 Championship matches during Coventry’s title-winning campaign and kept 17 clean sheets, performances that earned him the Championship Golden Glove.
