Shock Move: Penn State Star Harrison Wallace III Chooses Ole Miss Over Texas A&M in Transfer Stunner

After a weekend visit to Texas A&M and time spent in the transfer portal, former Penn State wide receiver Harrison Wallace III has committed to joining Ole Miss. Wallace, who initially had a visit scheduled with South Carolina for Monday, canceled that trip, opting instead to become a Rebel.

During the 2024 season at Penn State, Wallace made a significant impact, recording 46 receptions for 720 yards (averaging 15.7 yards per catch) and scoring four touchdowns over 15 games, all of which he started. Over his four-year tenure with the Nittany Lions, Wallace amassed 84 catches for 1,221 yards (14.5 yards per catch) and six touchdowns in 39 games, with 21 starts.

Before committing to Ole Miss, Wallace also visited Louisville, making his decision after entering the transfer portal on Tuesday.

Ole Miss has been actively retooling its receiving unit following the departures of leading receivers Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins, both of whom have completed their eligibility and are anticipated to be selected in the upcoming NFL Draft. Wallace brings one year of eligibility to Ole Miss, adding experience and depth to their offensive lineup.

Wallace is the eighth wide receiver to join the Rebels this offseason, part of a comprehensive effort to bolster the receiving corps. Other notable additions include portal transfers Deuce Alexander (Wake Forest), Traylon Ray (West Virginia), Caleb Odom (Alabama), and De’Zhaun Stribling (Oklahoma State). Ole Miss has also signed several standout high school prospects, including five-star Caleb Cunningham, four-stars Winston Watkins and Dillon Alfred, and three-star Samari Reed.

Wallace’s journey to Ole Miss adds a layer of familiarity, as he played his high school football at Pike Road High School in Alabama, the same program that produced former Ole Miss standout and current Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins.

With Wallace’s addition, Ole Miss continues to strengthen its roster, aiming for a dynamic and competitive receiving unit for the upcoming season.
