Earlier this month, NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, revealing he was “battling something internally.” Though he didn’t initially disclose his diagnosis, Moss asked his supporters to keep him and his family in their prayers during this challenging time. “Throughout the week of the holidays, your boy has been battling something internally. I just ask for all the prayer warriors to put their blessed hands on me and my family through these hard times,” Moss wrote.

He also addressed questions about his appearance on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown, noting he had been wearing sunglasses due to health concerns but was optimistic about his recovery. “Your boy is going to get through it,” he assured fans, emphasizing the importance of regular medical check-ups and blood work, especially for men.

Nearly two weeks later, Moss revealed his diagnosis: cancer located outside the bile duct, between the pancreas and liver. On Thanksgiving, he noticed urine discoloration, prompting immediate medical attention. Doctors placed a stent on his liver during surgery, and Moss spent six days in the hospital.

Following his announcement, the NFL showed support with a simple but powerful message: “#LetsMossCancer.”

Moss, known for his resilience on the field, remains determined to return to work. Addressing his ESPN colleagues, he expressed his desire to rejoin them as soon as he’s healthy. “My goal is to get back on television with my team,” he stated.

Moss’ story serves as a reminder of the importance of health awareness and the strength needed to face adversity. Fans and colleagues alike continue to rally around the legendary wide receiver in his recovery journey.
