The University of Oklahoma has secured significant recognition on the All-SEC football teams as announced by the league on Tuesday. Senior linebacker Danny Stutsman earned a spot on the All-SEC First Team, junior defensive lineman R Mason Thomas was named to the All-SEC Second Team, and senior defensive back Billy Bowman Jr., alongside redshirt sophomore long snapper Ben Anderson, were selected for the All-SEC Third Team. These honors were decided by SEC head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for their own players.

Danny Stutsman: A Defensive Force
Stutsman, a Butkus Award finalist, has been a cornerstone of Oklahoma’s defense, starting all 12 games at middle linebacker this season. Averaging 9.1 tackles per game, he ranks fourth in the SEC and 22nd nationally, with a total of 109 tackles. Notably, he has registered 8.0 tackles for loss, a sack, and three quarterback hurries. Against Missouri on November 9, Stutsman recorded a career-high 19 tackles, showcasing his dominance on the field. With triple-digit tackles in three consecutive seasons, he joins elite company in Oklahoma football history.

R Mason Thomas: A Rising Star
Thomas has made his mark with 9.0 sacks, ranking fourth in the SEC and 17th nationally. With 11.5 tackles for loss and standout performances, including a game-changing effort against Alabama, Thomas has proven his ability to deliver in critical moments.

Billy Bowman Jr. and Ben Anderson: Defensive and Special Teams Standouts
Bowman has contributed significantly with 54 tackles, two interceptions, and a 43-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown this season. Anderson, a semifinalist for the Patrick Mannelly Award, has been crucial for Oklahoma’s special teams, ensuring consistency in punts and placekicks.

Oklahoma (6-6, 2-6 SEC) will conclude its season against Navy in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl on December 27 in Fort Worth, Texas, with kickoff at 11 a.m.
