The 2026 Rebels schedule is out, and Lane Kiffin’s crew didn’t get any favors. Twelve games. A murderer’s row of SEC heavyweights. And a fanbase that will either be celebrating a playoff push by November — or asking hard questions in the Grove.
Let’s set the stage.
Ole Miss opens September at home against Louisville before back-to-back road tests that will define the early season. A trip to face LSU on September 19th in Baton Rouge — one of the loudest, most hostile environments in college football — followed immediately by Florida at home. Two weeks. Two top-tier SEC programs. Season-defining stuff before October even arrives.
Then it gets heavier.
October brings Vanderbilt, Missouri, Texas, and Auburn in succession. That Texas game on October 24th is circled in red. The Longhorns are no longer a Big 12 novelty — they’re a legitimate SEC powerhouse now, and that matchup has instant statement-game energy written all over it.
November doesn’t let up. Georgia on the 7th. Oklahoma on the 14th. Then a rivalry finish against Mississippi State on November 27th — the Egg Bowl, where records and reasons go out the window.
Six of Ole Miss’s twelve games are against programs that have appeared in the College Football Playoff. This schedule will test depth, coaching, and character in ways that matter when the selection committee starts watching in October.
