Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart is making waves at the Senior Bowl, with reports surfacing that he has “turned a lot of heads” among NFL decision-makers. As practices intensify, Dart has reportedly “emerged” as the most impressive quarterback in attendance, showcasing pinpoint accuracy and the ability to execute high-difficulty throws under pressure. Scouts have taken note of his “elite abilities,” particularly his arm strength, mobility, and poise in the pocket, with many believing his comfort level in the competitive environment has unlocked a new tier of performance.

Dart, who declared for the NFL Draft after throwing for 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns in his final collegiate season, has drawn comparisons to some of the league’s most dynamic playmakers. In a recent interview, he revealed he models his game after Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen, Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Baker Mayfield—quarterbacks known for blending physicality, improvisation, and leadership. “I study their tape constantly,” Dart said. “Their ability to extend plays and make something out of nothing is what I strive for.”

The 21-year-old’s stock is rising rapidly, with some analysts now projecting him as a potential early first-round pick. While questions about consistency lingered during his college career, Dart’s Senior Bowl dominance has silenced doubters, highlighting his readiness for the pro game. His combination of a rocket arm, athleticism, and intangibles has teams reevaluating their draft boards.

The upcoming NFL Combine will be critical for Dart to solidify his status. Strong performances in drills, interviews, and athletic testing could cement his place among the draft’s top quarterbacks. With the Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, and Las Vegas Raiders all in the market for QB talent, Dart’s trajectory suggests he may hear his name called sooner than expected.

For Ole Miss, Dart’s ascent marks another milestone in the program’s resurgence. For NFL teams, he represents a high-upside prospect with the tools to thrive in a league increasingly prioritizing dual-threat quarterbacks. As one scout noted, “When he’s confident, there’s no throw he can’t make.” The Jaxson Dart era—on the NFL stage—may be just beginning.
