The Ole Miss Rebels closed out their season in style with a commanding 52-20 victory over the Duke Blue Devils in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. The win gives the Rebels momentum heading into the 2025 offseason as they aim for a College Football Playoff berth next season.
Leading the charge was senior quarterback Jaxson Dart, who delivered a stellar performance, throwing for 404 yards and four touchdowns while adding 43 rushing yards. Dart’s efforts earned him Gator Bowl MVP honors, further cementing his legacy at Ole Miss.
Dart’s performance wasn’t just impressive—it was historic. He broke multiple program records, including new season highs in passing yards and total offense, surpassing marks set by Chad Kelly in 2015. Dart also became just the fourth player in SEC history to surpass 12,000 yards of total offense in his career.
In addition, Dart shattered his own bowl game records for passing yards (previously 379 in the 2023 Peach Bowl) and total offense (427 in the 2022 Texas Bowl). The 52 points scored by Ole Miss also set a new postseason high for the program, surpassing the 48 points scored in the 2015 Sugar Bowl.
The Rebels’ victory secured their second consecutive 10-win season, a feat the program last achieved in 1959 and 1960. With this historic season in the books, Ole Miss is poised to build on its success in 2025.
