Jerry Cross, a standout prospect from Penn State’s 2022 recruiting class, has announced his next move. On Saturday, the redshirt sophomore revealed his commitment to Memphis via the transfer portal.
During his three seasons at Penn State, Cross appeared in seven games but did not record a reception. Despite limited production in Happy Valley, the former four-star recruit remains a promising talent with plenty of potential to make an impact at Memphis.
Cross was highly regarded coming out of high school, known for his size, athleticism, and ability to contribute as both a blocker and receiver. His move to Memphis presents a fresh start and an opportunity to see more playing time in a system that could better showcase his skill set.
With his transfer, Cross joins a Memphis program known for its dynamic offense and ability to develop talent. Both the player and the team will be eager to make the most of this new chapter as he looks to make his mark at the collegiate level.
