The two Paris Saint-Germain players only took part in three training sessions with Les Bleues and will return to their club. They have not been replaced.
Defenders Griedge Mbock and Elisa De Almeida, injured before the gathering of the Bleues, are out of the next two matches of the French team against Nigeria on Saturday (9:10 p.m.) and Spain on Tuesday (9 p.m.) and have left the gathering.
The two Parisians “both in the recovery phase, participated in the first three training sessions of the Bleues, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the CNF. They are available again to their club Paris Saint-Germain in the best conditions”, explained the FFF in a press release on Thursday.
Elisa De Almeida, injured in the foot several weeks ago, and Griedge Mbock (unknown injury) were on Laurent Bonadei’s extended list, but, still injured and having still not returned to competition with PSG, it was expected that they would not play a single minute in the French team.
“I wanted them to be with us because they missed the first training camp and we are doing a lot of tactical work on the game systems that we want to implement, in addition to creating a group. We are laying the foundations of the project. I wanted them to be involved in it,” explained the new coach. They will not be replaced.
