Penn State fans had plenty to cheer about as the Nittany Lions secured a 31-14 victory over Boise State to claim the Fiesta Bowl title. Among the supporters was rapper Flavor Flav, who brought extra energy to the celebration.
The iconic entertainer, who has a connection to Penn State through his cousin Shep Garner—a standout for the men’s basketball team from 2014 to 2018—was eager to meet head coach James Franklin. His wish came true when he greeted Franklin as the team arrived at State Farm Stadium.
With the Fiesta Bowl win, Penn State advances to the College Football Playoff semifinals. The Lions will face the winner of Monday’s Notre Dame-Georgia matchup in the Orange Bowl next week.
