Nina Thomas, the estranged wife of ex-Seattle Seahawks star Earl Thomas, is facing serious legal trouble after being accused of orchestrating a scheme to defraud him of millions.
Federal prosecutors allege that Nina, along with an unnamed accomplice, began transferring money and property from Earl’s accounts without his consent in September 2021, shortly after she filed for divorce in 2020. According to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, the duo illegally siphoned over $2.7 million from the former NFL player.
The funds were reportedly used for personal indulgences, including breast implants and a luxury Hermes Birkin handbag. Nina now faces multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft.
An arrest warrant was issued on December 13, and Nina was taken into custody on December 16 before being released. Despite the allegations, she has remained active on Instagram, where she describes herself as a real estate agent, but has yet to comment publicly on the charges.
Nina and Earl’s marriage, which began with a star-studded wedding in April 2016, ended in controversy after allegations surfaced that Nina once held a loaded gun to Earl’s head during a confrontation over alleged infidelity.
