Following the Arizona Cardinals’ recent loss to the Carolina Panthers, Head Coach Jonathan Gannon addressed the media, expressing his disappointment while emphasizing the need for improvement. Gannon acknowledged the team’s shortcomings, stating, “We didn’t execute at the level necessary to win this game. Our performance was not up to our standards, and that starts with me.”

Gannon highlighted specific areas requiring attention, particularly the offense’s struggle to maintain drives and capitalize on opportunities. He noted, “We had chances to make plays, but we didn’t seize them. Our third-down efficiency needs to improve, and we must be more effective in the red zone.”

The coach also addressed the defense’s challenges in containing the Panthers’ offense, especially their ground game. “We allowed too many rushing yards, which put us in difficult situations,” Gannon remarked. “Our tackling and gap integrity were not where they needed to be.”

Despite the loss, Gannon maintained a forward-looking perspective, emphasizing the importance of learning from the defeat. “This game is a wake-up call,” he said. “We need to evaluate our performance critically, make the necessary adjustments, and come back stronger. The season is far from over, and we have the opportunity to correct our course.”

Gannon concluded by reaffirming his confidence in the team’s resilience and character. “I believe in our players and coaching staff,” he stated. “We have the talent and determination to overcome this setback. It’s about putting in the work, staying focused, and executing our game plan moving forward.”

The Cardinals will look to rebound in their upcoming matchup, aiming to address the issues highlighted by Coach Gannon and demonstrate the improvements necessary to return to their winning ways.
