South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers has solidified his commitment to the Gamecocks by signing a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal with Garnet Trust, the official NIL collective supporting University of South Carolina athletes.
Sellers, a redshirt freshman from South Florence, South Carolina, has shown significant promise since joining the Gamecocks. In the 2024 season, he completed 63.4% of his passes, throwing for 1,010 yards, 10 touchdowns, and only one interception. His impressive performances have been instrumental in South Carolina’s recent successes, including notable victories over Texas A&M and Oklahoma.
The partnership with Garnet Trust not only underscores Sellers’ value to the team but also highlights the increasing opportunities for collegiate athletes to benefit from NIL agreements. This deal is expected to provide Sellers with additional resources and support as he continues to develop his skills and contribute to the Gamecocks’ future endeavors.
In addition to his agreement with Garnet Trust, Sellers has secured a partnership with Hey Dude, a prominent footwear company. This collaboration is part of Hey Dude’s collegiate collection and features custom Gamecocks-inspired footwear, further enhancing Sellers’ profile both on and off the field.
As the Gamecocks prepare for the upcoming season, Sellers’ commitment and the support from these partnerships are poised to play a crucial role in the team’s pursuit of success in collegiate football.
