Clara Strack delivered a dominant performance with 25 points and 12 rebounds, leading the 12th-ranked Kentucky women’s basketball team to a 78-64 victory over Georgia on Sunday. Kentucky (16-1, 5-0 SEC) also saw standout contributions from Georgia Amoore, who scored 24 points and dished out eight assists, and Amelia Hassett, who added 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Amoore set the tone early, sinking a three-pointer from the left wing just 10 seconds into the game. Following a Georgia layup, Kentucky went on a scoring spree with a Strack basket, another Amoore three, and a Hassett layup to establish a 10-1 lead. Amoore continued her hot start with a layup, extending the advantage to 12-3. After a Georgia free throw, Amoore nailed her third three-pointer, pushing Kentucky’s lead to 15-4. The Wildcats closed the first quarter with a commanding 23-4 lead, thanks to layups from Hassett and Strack.

In the second quarter, Kentucky maintained its dominance. Teonni Key opened the scoring with a basket, followed by a Georgia three-pointer. Key responded with another basket and a free throw, increasing the Wildcats’ lead to 28-7. Georgia’s attempts to close the gap were thwarted by a Strack layup and an Amoore three-pointer, which stretched the lead to 33-9. Despite a brief Georgia scoring run, Kentucky entered halftime with a comfortable 44-21 lead, fueled by 16 first-half points from Amoore and 13 from Strack.

The second half saw Georgia attempting to rally, but Kentucky’s offense, led by Amoore’s fifth three-pointer, kept the Bulldogs at bay. Saniah Tyler’s three-pointer extended Kentucky’s lead to 50-26. Although Georgia managed an 8-0 run to cut the deficit to 50-34, Strack’s steady scoring kept Kentucky in control. The Wildcats closed the third quarter with a 57-42 lead.

In the fourth quarter, a Strack three-pointer and subsequent scoring from Amoore and Hassett ensured that Kentucky maintained a comfortable lead. The Wildcats never allowed Georgia to get closer than 14 points, ultimately securing a 78-64 victory.

Kentucky will return to action on Thursday, traveling to face Texas A&M in College Station. The game is set for 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT) and will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
