From Buckeye to Ram: How Kojo Antwi’s Transfer Could Elevate Colorado State to New Heights

Ohio State wide receiver Kojo Antwi has announced his decision to transfer to Colorado State University, bringing a highly touted talent to the Rams’ offense. Antwi, who was ranked No. 178 overall in the 2022 ESPN 300, entered the transfer portal earlier this month and has now committed to continuing his collegiate career in Fort Collins.

During his time with the Buckeyes, Antwi found limited opportunities to showcase his abilities, largely due to the depth and talent present in Ohio State’s receiving corps. In the 2024 season, he recorded 8 receiving yards on 1 reception. Seeking increased playing time and a more prominent role, Antwi entered the transfer portal on December 9, 2024.

Antwi’s decision to join Colorado State comes after a visit to the campus, signaling his commitment to contribute to the Rams’ offensive efforts. Standing at 6 feet and weighing 194 pounds, Antwi brings a combination of size, speed, and skill that made him a coveted recruit out of Lambert High School in Suwanee, Georgia. His addition is expected to bolster Colorado State’s receiving unit, providing quarterback Clay Millen with a dynamic target downfield.

The Rams, under head coach Jay Norvell, have been actively seeking to enhance their offensive capabilities, and Antwi’s arrival aligns with their strategic goals. His experience at a powerhouse program like Ohio State, coupled with his eagerness to make a significant impact, positions him as a potential standout in the Mountain West Conference.

As Antwi transitions to Colorado State, he aims to capitalize on the opportunity for increased playing time and to fulfill the potential that made him a top-200 recruit nationally. His presence is anticipated to elevate the Rams’ passing game and contribute to the team’s pursuit of conference success in the upcoming season.
