A.J. Brown Brushes Off Knee Injury, Vows to Play Against Commanders

Eagles star receiver A.J. Brown has been added to the team’s Thursday practice report with a knee injury designation, but he’s not letting it derail his plans for Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders.

“I’m playing,” Brown confidently declared on Friday, per ESPN’s Tim McManus.

Despite being limited in Thursday’s practice, Brown seemed unconcerned about the situation. He admitted he wasn’t entirely sure how or when the issue began. “I was fine after the game. Fine the next day. Fine the day after that,” Brown said. He suggested the discomfort might have developed gradually but insisted it wouldn’t hold him back.

“You find a way to get through it and play through stuff,” Brown added, echoing the resilience needed in the grueling NFL season.

At this stage of the year, Brown acknowledged, few players are completely healthy. But that hasn’t slowed him down. Over 11 games this season, Brown has remained a dominant force, recording 56 receptions for 946 yards and five touchdowns.

Brown’s availability is a critical factor for the Eagles as they continue their push toward postseason success. His ability to consistently make big plays has been instrumental in Philadelphia’s offense, and his determination to play through minor setbacks underscores his value as a team leader.

The Eagles’ full injury report, including game statuses, is expected later Friday. Until then, it seems clear that Brown has every intention of being on the field when the Eagles face their division rivals this Sunday.
