Kansas State Announces New Recruitments as Preparation for the 2025 Season Continues

Kansas State University has officially unveiled a new wave of football recruitments as the Wildcats continue to solidify their roster in anticipation of the 2025 college football season. The announcement, made by Head Coach Chris Klieman and the athletic department, showcases a promising mix of high school standouts and transfer portal talents who are expected to bring depth, energy, and competitive fire to the program. With the Big 12 conference becoming increasingly competitive, these new additions are seen as vital steps toward keeping Kansas State in the hunt for a championship.

Among the most talked-about recruits is four-star quarterback Treyson Mitchell from Houston, Texas. Known for his mobility and impressive arm strength, Mitchell had offers from programs like Oklahoma State, Baylor, and Ole Miss but ultimately chose the Wildcats due to the coaching staff’s commitment to developing dual-threat quarterbacks. Mitchell is expected to provide immediate depth at the quarterback position and could potentially compete for a starting role by mid-season if he adapts quickly to the playbook.

Kansas State also bolstered its defensive lineup with the commitment of linebacker Jaden Brooks from Wichita. A dominant force in his senior year of high school, Brooks was ranked among the top 10 linebackers in the Midwest. His explosive tackling and leadership qualities have drawn comparisons to former Wildcat great Arthur Brown. Defensive Coordinator Joe Klanderman emphasized Brooks’ versatility, stating that he could play both inside and outside linebacker, offering the team strategic flexibility.

On the offensive side, the Wildcats have added wide receiver Malachi Jordan from St. Louis, Missouri. Jordan is a three-star prospect with elite speed and crisp route-running skills. During his recruitment process, he was pursued by several Power Five schools, but he cited Kansas State’s family-oriented culture and its reputation for developing receivers as deciding factors in his commitment. Jordan is expected to add depth to a receiving corps that lost two starters to the NFL draft earlier this year.

In addition to high school recruits, Kansas State tapped into the transfer portal to bring in experienced talent. One notable addition is offensive lineman Bryce Callahan from Michigan State. With over 20 career starts in the Big Ten, Callahan brings toughness and leadership to the offensive line unit. His presence is expected to immediately strengthen protection for the quarterback and support the Wildcats’ potent running game, which remains a cornerstone of the team’s offensive identity.

Coach Klieman expressed optimism about the new signings during a press conference, stating, “We’re thrilled with the group we’ve brought in. These young men not only have talent but also character and a willingness to work. They understand what it means to wear the purple and white, and we believe they’ll help us reach new heights in 2025 and beyond.” As summer workouts and fall camp approach, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how these recruits integrate into the program and contribute to Kansas State’s pursuit of excellence.
