A Fresh Look at a Timeless Legacy
Directed by acclaimed British filmmaker Sam Mendes (1917, Skyfall), The Beatles: Echoes Through Eternity has been three years in the making, produced in collaboration with Apple Corps Ltd., the official Beatles company, and Giles Martin, son of legendary Beatles producer George Martin.
Unlike previous documentaries, this film doesn’t aim to recount The Beatles’ well-trodden timeline from Liverpool to global superstardom. Instead, it explores the emotional undercurrents behind the scenes — the bonds between the members, the growing pains of fame, and how their music evolved in response to inner tensions, global events, and personal transformation.
Exclusive Content and Never-Before-Seen Footage
The documentary includes hours of previously unreleased material, including:
- Audio tapes of private conversations between Lennon and McCartney during the Let It Besessions
- Footage from George Harrison’s garden studio in Friar Park
- Personal letters exchanged between the band members post-breakup
- Behind-the-scenes clips from the Beatles’ final live rooftop performance in 1969

In addition to the documentary, Netflix and Apple Corps Ltd. have announced a companion soundtrack featuring remixed versions of Beatles classics curated by Giles Martin, as well as a limited-edition vinyl box set titled Echoes.
