Ohio State’s defense received a major boost today as former North Carolina standout EDGE rusher Beau Atkinson announced his commitment to the Buckeyes. The highly sought-after transfer will join head coach Ryan Day’s program with immediate eligibility for the upcoming season.
Atkinson, who entered the transfer portal earlier this month after two seasons with the Tar Heels, brings significant potential to Columbus. The 6-foot-6, 265-pound edge defender was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and showed flashes of elite pass-rushing ability during his time in Chapel Hill.
