Charlie Weis Jr.’s impact on the Ole Miss offense has earned him conference-wide recognition. Since being named the Rebels’ offensive coordinator by Lane Kiffin in 2021, Weis Jr.’s leadership has propelled the team to new heights. On Thursday, Ole Miss announced on X that Weis Jr. is the recipient of the 2024 SEC Graphite Award, recognizing him as the conference’s top offensive play-caller.

Under Weis Jr.’s guidance, the Rebels’ offense has consistently improved, averaging 33.5 points per game or more for three straight seasons. This year, they reached a new peak, ranking third nationally with an impressive 38.6 points per game average.

Weis Jr.’s success isn’t just reflected in team statistics. Several of his players, including quarterback Jaxson Dart, wide receiver Tre Harris, and running back Henry Parrish Jr., are attracting significant NFL Draft attention.

Weis Jr.’s coaching journey with Kiffin began at Alabama, followed by a stint at Florida Atlantic where he was believed to be the youngest Division I offensive coordinator in history. He rejoined Kiffin’s staff at Ole Miss before the 2022 season, and the results speak for themselves. This award marks well-deserved recognition for Weis Jr.’s exceptional contributions to the Rebels’ offensive prowess.
